The Lamborghini Huracan. What a monster. This is the 610 Spyder and I think it’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous! That awesome V10 in the back is sublime.
This Huracan has a reasonable sound system, but it lacks Apple Car Play. But, fortunately, there is a solution to add this to the existing media system.
Solution
Car Play add-on modules
I used the module from Unique Auto Developments in Exeter, which helped with the solution. I have found their wireless Car Play/Android Auto add-on modules to be excellent. The installation of this requires access to the media unit between the two seats.
This big task isn’t for the faint-hearted as it requires the removal of the rear panels. (One of which is priced at nearly £1500!) And, there is further connections required at the climate control below the centre console. As shown, this is again a daunting exercise requiring great patience.
Also, this owner wanted a front camera installed to the Huracan to aid in manoeuvring. Fortunately, the engine is all at the rear and the only cable routing issues were the three radiators. The final result was a seamless integration of Apple Car Play to the original electronic dash display and is fully controllable from the Huracan’s MMI interface. We can add Car Play/Android Auto to many cars including Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar / Land Rover, Bentley and more.
